About The Event
Mauao is a devised theatre spectacular to celebrate Matariki and create new legends, featuring waiata, dance, haka and drama (monologue and poetry). The Mount Maunganui region is brimming with stories, some are ancient tales, some evoke fond memories, and others are important histories that have been forgotten over the years.
Directed and designed by Jason Te Mete and performed by Mount Maunganui College.
When: Wednesday 26 June, 12.00pm – 2.00pm, Wednesday 26 June and Thursday 27 June, 7.00pm – 9.00pm
